CBS This Morning Up Double Digits in the Demo

morning-show-anchors_640Good Morning America wins the morning among total viewers, the Today show is once again the most-watched in the A25-54 demo, but only CBS This Morning showed viewer growth.

Compared to the same week last year, CTM was up +8 percent in viewers and up +12 percent in the A25-54 demo. The Today show narrowed the total viewer gap with GMA by 34 percent, while widening its demo advantage. Still, Today was down -5 percent in viewers and down -3 percent in the demo. GMA was down -7 percent in viewers and down -16 percent in the demo vs. last year.

GMA continues as the No. 1 morning newscast for the 4th consecutive year. Today has won 39 of the last 40 weeks in the demo.

Due to Memorial Day, all three shows are based on a 4-day average.

The averages for the week of May 30, 2016:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 4.633M / NBC: 4.381M / CBS: 3.714M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.453M / NBC: 1.691 M / CBS: 1.068M
