“CBS This Morning Saturday” was nominated for a James Beard Award for best TV segment. The weekly food segment, “The Dish” is up against Chicago’s ABC affiliate and Minneapolis’ CBS affiliate. “CTM Saturday” is the only national program nominated for the award.
The James Beard Foundation’s mission is to celebrate, nurture and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage. Meanwhile, Spin magazine recently called “CTM Saturday” a “now-hip morning news show that’s counted Michael Stipe, Conor Oberst, and Real Estate as recent guests.” The music magazine was impressed that the morning show featured a performance by Modest Mouse.
