One of the bright spots ratings-wise of CBS News, in addition to “60 Minutes,” is the stalwart CBS “Sunday Morning.” The show hosted by Charles Osgood just completed its best quarter since 1994. The show averaged 5.35 million Total Viewers, +3% from Q1 2010 (5.19 million). Last week the show drew 5.46 million Total Viewers and had a 1.5 rating 8 share in A25-54 viewers. The show, which has long been the #1 “Sunday Morning” news program, grew from the same week last year (from 5.29 million).

“Sunday Morning” which airs from 9-10:30am on the east coast, and as early as 6am on the west coast, has given a boost to “Face the Nation” which follows on the schedule.
