CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley finished its 15th consecutive television season as the No. 1 Sunday morning news program.
Sunday Morning averaged six million viewers for the just-completed 2017-2018 TV season, up from 5.98 million last season.
For the May sweep, the broadcast delivered 5.60 million viewers and a 1.0 rating / 7 share in the advertiser-friendly adults 25-54 demo. Last Sunday’s broadcast, the final show of the season, was watched by 5.79 million viewers.
Pauley took over anchoring CBS Sunday Morning in October, 2016.
“I feel this is the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Pauley, who was co-anchor of NBC’s Today show from 1976 to 1989. She is only the third host of CBS Sunday Morning which celebrates its 40th anniversary on January 28, 2019.
