CBS Responds To Rather Suit; Former CBS Anchor To Appear On Larry King Live

TVNewser received this statement from CBS corporate responding to the lawsuit filed today by former CBS News anchor Dan Rather: “These complaints are old news and this lawsuit is without merit.”

Rather is going to be talking about the lawsuit with Larry King tomorrow night. CNN says Rather “will take viewer calls and e-mails.”

Exclusive: Dan Rather Appears on Larry King Live Thursday

In his first live interview since filing a $70 million lawsuit against CBS, Dan Rather will appear on CNN’s Larry King Live on Thursday, Sept. 20, at 9 p.m. (ET).

He will discuss his lawsuit against his former news organization after his departure last year. He will take viewer calls and e-mails.
A transcript and frame grabs will be available immediately after the interview upon request.
