CBS News Appoints Gabe Almanzar Creative Director

CBS News has named Gabe Almanzar its new Creative Director.

Almanzar will have day to day responsibility for the graphics teams, design output and the overall creative inspiration for CBS News and its various linear and streaming programs.

“Gabe will work closely will the editorial, technical, operations and marketing teams. His focus is to deliver world-leading design to support world-class storytelling,” CBS News ops and transformation evp Ross Dagan wrote in a staff memo obtained by TVNewser. “I am delighted that we have appointed someone from within to this role after an extensive recruitment process. It’s a testament to Gabe’s contribution to the network across news and sports as a graphic artist and supervising art director as part of various programs since 2007.”
