CBS News Adds Tony Dokoupil as Correspondent

By Mark Joyella

CBS News has named Tony Dokoupil, a former correspondent at MSNBC, as a New York-based correspondent. He begins in August.

“We are adding resources where we need them to further extend coverage across platforms and build upon our audience growth,” said the CBS News president David Rhodes in a memo Wednesday. “We’re excited to have Tony join our growing stable of journalists at a time when we are confronting a presidential election and numerous global and domestic issues impacting the future.”

Before MSNBC, Dokoupil was a senior writer at NBC News, and before that a writer at Newsweek and The Daily Beast.
