CBS’ 48 Hours Launches Podcast Tied to Investigation

CBS News’ 48 Hours launched the show’s first-ever podcast, a five-part series tied to “The Hannah Graham Story,” the show’s season premiere set for next Saturday.

The podcast, which launched Monday, is anchored by Neal Augenstein, a correspondent at Washington radio station WTOP.

The podcast series focuses on Graham, a college student who vanished from Charlottesville, Va., after a night out with friends. The search for her was one of the largest in Virginia history, and the discovery of Graham’s body led to a murder case that caught the attention of 48 Hours producers.

“The Hannah Graham story hits home with so many families, and there are so many layers, that it was perfect for the podcast format,” said 48 Hours senior executive producer Susan Zirinsky. The show opens with a two-hour investigation into the case one week from tonight.
