By A.J. Katz

Rahel Solomon officially left CBS 3 Philly today for a new gig not terribly far away, in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. Earlier today, CNBC announced that Solomon is joining the business news network as a general assignment reporter, starting March 25.

Solomon was most recently co-anchor of CBS 3 Philly Eyewitness News This Morning, and Eyewitness News at Noon. She originally joined CBS 3 as a GA reporter in September 2015. During her time at the station, she also anchored the weekend morning news.

VP and managing editor of CNBC Business News Nick Dunn made the announcement this morning.

While there, she covered the trial of Aurora Theater Shooter James Holmes and Colorado flooding for CBS This Morning. In 2015, she was named the Colorado Association of Black Journalists’ Broadcast Journalist of the Year. Previously, Rahel worked as a multimedia journalist for WSAZ-TV in Charleston, West Virginia.

Rahel earned a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She also attended St. John’s University where she graduated with high honors and a bachelor of science degree in finance.
