CBC Debate Set For January On CNN

By Chris Ariens

The Congressional Black Caucus has announced they are sponsoring a Presidential candidate debate on January 17 that will “be produced and broadcast on CNN.” The forum will be held in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Earlier this year, Fox News Channel had secured a debate sponsored by the CBC that was to air in September. But after liberal activist groups including MoveOn.org complained, the three Democratic presidential frontrunners (Clinton, Obama and Edwards) withdrew.

The CBC had already entered into an agreement to sponsor a debate on CNN. Today’s announcement sets the date and place.
