CBS News’ “48 Hours Mystery” was Saturday night’s #1 program in households (3.6/07), total viewers (5.52m) and the A25-54 demo (1.6/04).
The hour, titled “Only Casey Knows,” featured Troy Roberts’ report on the 2008 murder case of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony (pictured) and the trial of her mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, who is facing the death penalty. Roberts’ reporting was singled out by CBS News president David Rhodes in a memo he sent Monday morning, questioning why more of CBS News’ weekend “gets” weren’t incorporated into Monday’s “Early Show.”
