Carol Costello and S.E. Cupp’s HLN Shows Launch Aug. 21

By Chris Ariens

It’s been a long time coming but former CNN anchor Carol Costello has a launch date for her new HLN show, Across America.

The 2-hour newscast will air from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET. HLN says the show will cover “current issues that directly affect communities by highlighting what matters most to Americans and asking the tough questions they want answered.”

S.E Cupp‘s new show also bows that day. S.E. Cupp Unfiltered will be a panel-driven show led by the conservative commentator. Airing at 7 p.m. ET weeknights, leading in to Primetime Justice with Ashleigh Banfield, HLN says Cupp’s show will address “contemporary issues impacting everyday Americans through spirited debates featuring a rotating cast of guests and regular panelists.”

As TVNewser previously reported, former Fox Newser Andy Levy joins as senior producer and panelist.

Costello left CNN earlier this year after 15 years as a dayside anchor there. Her show will originate from Los Angeles.

“Adding Carol and S.E. to HLN further strengthens our powerful bench of journalists and hosts, and delivers on the network’s promise to add more live hours of news programming,” said HLN chief Ken Jautz. “Carol and S.E. are two of the most respected and recognized voices in the business, and we’re excited to bring their smarts and passion to the HLN audience.”
