Candidates Drop Editorial Demands Over Debates

No, it doesn’t look like the networks will be surrendering any control over camera angles or on-screen graphics–the Republican campaigns who floated the idea with a draft letter that circulated Sunday have released a new version that drops most of the major “demands.”

Politico reports the latest draft offers no bold suggestions at all:

It is now a series of mostly mundane questions about debate criteria and basic logistics, though there is one asking for the networks to “commit to provide an equal number of questions to each candidate.” The letter asks the network to return the questionnaire within one month of receipt.
