Campbell Brown to Interview Ben Carson, Marco Rubio

Former CNN and NBC News anchor Campbell Brown has lined up two GOP candidates to discuss their education plans, should they become president. Brown, who left TV news in 2010, is now editor in chief of The Seventy Four, a non-profit that advocates for reforming America’s education system which counts some 74 million students.
Brown will interview Ben Carson and Marco Rubio ahead of tomorrow’s GOP debate in Milwaukee. The group invited democratic candidates at an event an Iowa last month, but they declined, the group says, over pressure from teacher’s unions.
“Senator Rubio and Dr. Carson both overcame significant obstacles to get to where they are today,” said Brown. “We look forward to hearing from them about what we as a nation must do to help close the inequality gap that deprives far too many students the opportunity for a high-quality education.”
The Seventy Four also held a summit in New Hampshire in August which featured Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Carly Fiorina, Bobby Jindal and John Kasich.
