Cable News Networks Cover Colorado School Shooting

The cable news networks turned to breaking news out of Centennial, Colorado this afternoon: two students were reportedly injured in a school shooting at Arapahoe High School.

CNN’s Don Lemon was the first to report the news at 3:06pmET, saying “all schools in Littleton have been placed on lockdown, and we’re trying to some gain information as to why.” Fox News’ Shepard Smith was next at 3:12pmET and MSNBC’s Tourefollowed at 3:23pmET.

News of the shooting comes the day before the first anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
