Cable Network Ranker: Week of July 1

By Alex Weprin

Last week was a holiday week (although it was certainly not lacking for news). Nonetheless, entertainment networks reigned supreme, bolstered by new episodes of their Summer shows.

Fox News was the top cable news channel, placing 6th among ad-supported cable networks and 7th among all channels in primetime. CNN placed 30th in primetime (31st among all channels), while MSNBC was 33rd in primetime (34th among all channels).

For the business networks: CNBC placed 54th in primetime among ad-supported channels (55th among all channels) while Fox Business was 89th (90th among all channels.) Bloomberg TV isn’t rated by Nielsen.
