Cable Network Ranker: Week of April 2

Fox News Channel was the number two ad-supported cable network in all of primetime for the second straight week. that achievement is all the more impressive when you consider that the last time this happened was early last year, when the tsunami struck Japan.

FNC placed 2nd in primetime with 1.64 million viewers, and 5th in total day with 1.08 million viewers. MSNCB placed 27th in primetime and 28th in total day with 728,000 and 422,000 viewers, respectively. CNN placed 35th in primetime and 33rd in total day, drawing 512,000 viewers and 355,000 viewers, respectively.

As for Current TV, in its first full week without Keith Olbermann to anchor its primetime lineup, the channel placed 93rd in primetime and 95th in total day, averaging 36,000 and 28,000 viewers, respectively.

Among the business networks, CNBC placed 56th in primetime with 206,000 viewers, and 57th  in total day with 129,000. Fox Business Network placed 87th in primetime and 84th in total day, drawing 61,000 and 57,000 viewers, respectively. Bloomberg TV remains unrated.
