Cable Network Ranker: Week of April 16

Fox News Channel was the number four ad-supported cable network in primetime last week, placing behind only USA Network, History and TNT. FNC drew 1.83 million total viewers in that time period. In total day FNC was also fourth, with 1.12 million viewers.

MSNBC placed 27th in primetime and 30th in total day with 752,000 and 417,000 viewers, respectively. CNN placed 35th in primetime and 34th in total day, drawing 460,000 and 330,000 viewers, respectively.

Among the business networks, CNBC saw a massive primetime ratings boost to 39th place and 342,000 viewers, though that was largely attributable to NHL hockey playoffs, which aired on CNBC as a spillover channel. In total day CNBC placed 54th with 150,000 viewers. Fox Business placed 91st with 44,000 viewers in primetime, and 85th in total day with 52,000 viewers. Bloomberg TV remains unrated by Nielsen.

Current TV is still trying to find its way with its new primetime lineup. The network placed 93rd with 25,000 viewers for the week, and 95th in total day, also with 25,000.
