Cable Coverage Plans for South Carolina Primary, Nevada Caucus

It may be Saturday but it’s business as usual for the cable news networks. With GOP voters in South Carolina going to the polls, and Democratic caucus-goers in Nevada going to the places caucus-goers go, CNN, MSNBC, FNC and other networks are fully caffeinated and ready to go. After coverage of Justice Scalia’s funeral, here are the plans:

  • Fox News: It’s a modified weekday schedule:

1 p.m.: Happening Now co-hosted by Jon Scott & Jenna Lee
2 p.m.: Outnumbered
3 p.m.: America’s Newsroom co-anchored by Bill Hemmer & Martha MacCallum
5 p.m.: The Five
6 p.m.: Special Report with Bret Baier
7 p.m.: America’s Election Headquarters with Bret Baier & Megyn Kelly
10 p.m. Hannity
11 p.m.: Justice with Judge Jeanine

  • CNN: It’s Wolf’s world:

2 p.m.: Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash live from the CNN Election Center in Washington, D.C. with John King at the Magic Wall as the Nevada caucus gets underway. Correspondents including Brianna Keilar, Jeff Zeleny, Tom Foreman, Kyung Lah, Boris Sanchez and Jason Carroll will report live from throughout Nevada with Gloria Borger, Nia-Malika Henderson, David Axelrod, Michael Smerconish, Paul Begala, Bakari Sellers, Van Jones and S.E. Cupp delivering analysis.

6 p.m. Blitzer, Tapper and Bash are back for coverage of South Carolina GOP primary, with correspondents Sara Murray, Sunlen Serfaty, Manu Raju, Athena Jones, Brian Todd and Phil Mattingly reporting throughout South Carolina.

  • MSNBC: Let’s play Hardball!:

2 p.m.: Chris Matthews will anchor live coverage from Nevada.

6 p.m.: Matthews will join Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams for live coverage of the South Carolina Republican Primary results. Steve Kornacki will join the coverage with analysis of both the caucuses and primary. Chris Jansing will contribute to coverage along with Chris Hayes and Jacob Soboroff. Kristen Welker will be with Hillary Clinton’s campaign and Kasie Hunt will be with Bernie Sanders’ campaign. Tamron Hall will report live from a polling site in Columbia. Gabe Gutierrez will be at Marco Rubio’s campaign HQ; Hallie Jackson will be at Ted Cruz’s; Kelly O’Donnell is at Jeb Bush’s; and Katy Tur is with the Donald Trump’s campaign.
