TMZ and the DailyMail are up with stories and a video showing NBC Newsman Brian Williams, his wife Jane and their daughter Allison walking Allison’s puppy — a golden retriever named Moxie — on Monday, which was also Allison’s birthday. Sightings of the suspended anchorman have been rare — there was that high school fundraiser last month.
As we reported earlier, Williams’ “Nightly News” predecessor Tom Brokaw was at an event last night in Chicago and talked about the coverage of the scandal saying it led “bloggers” to go into “Defcon One.” The cuteness of the random family stroll might just have brought us all back down to Defcon 5. And perhaps there’s a puppy play date in Moxie’s future with “Today” show mascot Wrangler.
