Brian Williams Makes Time 100 List

By Brian

George W. Bush didn’t make the Time 100 list of the most influential people, but NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams did.

Walter Isaacson calls Williams “the perfect anchor for the new age.” He concludes: “Williams understands the new state of play in the media, and even has a blog of his own. Yet he is traditionalist enough to protect the concept of a national conversation, based on a shared common ground of facts and reporting and ideas.”

Williams is no stranger to Time; he suggested “you” as Person of the Year, and penned and essay for the mag when “you” were selected.

Two journalists wrote bios for other influentials: Katie Couric wrote about Michael Bloomberg and Soledad O’Brien wrote about Drew Gilpin Faust
