NBC’s Brian Williams has been busy between news reports at the Winter Olympics. The “Today” show aired this funny segment this morning of “Nightly News” anchor Williams “hanging out” with MSNBC’s Willie Geist around the Vancouver party scene. (Longer version from “Morning Joe” after the jump.)
Williams also took some time to finally get together with the man he is so often asked about: Brian Williams. Yes, Canadian broadcaster Brian Williams and American NBC anchor Brian Williams finally met yesterday morning. “Some comedy ensues, some even intentional,” writes the Globe and Mail’s Michael Grange.
Doppelgangers, ratings, and “Sweet Caroline” aside, some aren’t so keen about (our) Brian Williams’ participating in the NBC coverage of the games. The NY Posts’ Phil Mushnick thinks it “tarnishes” Williams’ credibility to have him reporting on major news events from Vancouver.
