Greta Van Susteren Un-Cancels Bob Woodward Interview

By Alex Weprin

Earlier this week Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren canceled a scheduled interview with journalist Bob Woodward about his new book Obama’s Wars. Van Susteren said the publisher wouldn’t be able to get her a review copy in time, and she would rather cancel the interview than go in unprepared.

Yesterday, Van Susteren once again took to GretaWire with an update. It seems Woodward called ehr and promised to get a review copy to her ASAP:

I thanked Bob for the call and said – since I now will have the book with time to read it  – that I would like to do the interview as planned.  He said that I did not have to do the interview  (that he was not calling in essence to put pressure on me) but I want to do the interview and he agreed.

Don’t you just love a happy ending?

Still, Van Susteren could have secured a copy the way the other networks did: by buying a copy from a bookstore willing to waive the embargo on the sale date.
