Bloomberg’s David Westin Makes Debut as Morning Show Anchor

Bloomberg TV’s new flagship morning program Bloomberg <GO>, hosted by Stephanie Ruhle and David Westin, debuted today at 7 a.m. ET. The show airs weekdays from 7-10 a.m. ET. Westin is the former president of ABC News and came highly recommended for on-air duties by former GMA host Charles Gibson.

“Today was a big day for me, seeing the TV news world from the other end of the camera as an anchor for the first time. It was challenging, exciting, and more fun than I might have thought — made possible by the great work of my co-anchor, Stephanie Ruhle, our strong executive producer, Matt Saal, and a great team of talented, dedicated men and women,” Westin said. “I learned over many years at ABC News that you’re only as good as the team that supports you, and I’m blessed to have a terrific team. I also learned that, no matter how good a start you have, these morning programs evolve and (with hard work) improve with time. As good a day as we had today, I know that Bloomberg <GO> will grown stronger with time. Stay tuned.”

Ruhle said, “I loved sitting next to David Westin at that table and being part of that conversation, but I would also have loved to have sat back and watched it.”
