Access Hollywood Live host Billy Bush is expected to leave the show for a role on NBC’s Today, according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter.
THR cites “multiple sources” saying Bush will be announced as a member of the Today team during the network’s upfront presentation May 16. “Bush is expected to play a key role in the venerable morning show’s 9 a.m. hour. However, it’s unclear if he’ll be rotated in or will replace Willie Geist, who recently began hosting a revamped Sunday version of Today while still appearing on Today’s 9 a.m. hour and MSNBC’s Morning Joe.”
At Today, Bush will be part of a team that already includes his cousin, Jenna Bush Hager.
