O’Reilly Urges Clinton to Join Fox News Debate: ‘Call Me’

By Mark Joyella

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly urged Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton to agree to debate her challenger Bernie Sanders on Fox, speaking directly to Clinton on his show Thursday night. “Let’s wrap this whole deal up, call me tonight, we’ll confirm, Bernie versus Hillary on FNC in California.”

Fox News, while setting cable TV ratings records for its Republican presidential debates in the 2016 cycle, has yet to host a Democratic debate. This week, the network urged the two Democratic campaigns to agree to a final debate ahead of the California primary. Sanders agreed, Clinton has not.

“So I, your humble correspondent, have a tip of the day for Mrs. Clinton,” O’Reilly said. “It would be to your advantage, Madam Secretary to do this debate, even though we know you have the nomination locked up, that’s true. Lots of folks who may be skeptical about you will be watching that debate. And you might impress them and get some votes in the general election.”
