Bill Geist Reveals Parkinson’s Diagnosis on ‘CBS Sunday Morning’

Longtime CBS News correspondent Bill Geist announced on “CBS Sunday Morning” that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.

“I’ve had it for years, told no one, not even my kids. I didn’t want them to worry, didn’t want to be seen as ‘the sick guy.’ Today, I’m telling you.”

Geist’s kids include Willie Geist, the “Morning Joe” co-host who will be taking on a larger role during the third hour of NBC’s “Today” in the coming months, now that Savannah Guthrie has been named co-anchor.
