Bhutto Speaks to CNN Shortly Before Her Death

During the coverage of the death of Benazir Bhutto, CNN producer Moshin Naqvi debriefed anchor Tony Harris on the chaotic situation. Naqvi, on the phone from Rawalpindi, talked about how Bhutto had done an interview with CNN just before she left for the political rally where she was assassinated. Below is a partial transcript from the 9amET hour:

Today, Benazir Bhutto started her day, she had a meeting with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai…And after that, she went to her house, and after a few hours, she left for the rally. Before she left for the rally, she had a short conversation with CNN and in which she said — she told CNN about her meeting with President Karzai and she said she told Mr. Karzai that she want to continue this fight against terrorism and she want to continue this operation against al Qaeda in Pakistani tribal area.
