Lloyd Grove talks to ratings-juggernaut Glenn Beck in a lengthy, personal interview on The Daily Beast.

Beck describes the transition from CNN to FNC. “We’ve just hit the ground going 200 miles an hour and the best thing here is the entrepreneurial spirit of Fox,” he says. “They leave you alone and then hold you responsible for your ratings and your work.”

He says he’s “focusing on trying to do the right thing” and not looking beyond the 5pmET time slot for now, and also discussed his frequent displays of emotion. “I’m in control of myself. I don’t think there’s a problem with people showing emotion,” he said.
