Bartiromo’s New York Initiative

By Chris Ariens

During a nearly 12-minute live interview, Maria Bartiromo asked former Pres. Bill Clinton about record high oil prices, global trade, global warming, Alan Greenspan‘s book and his wife’s presidential campaign:

“She thinks, off the top of her head now, that the best thing I can do for her is to travel the world, try to help say to the world ‘America’s back into co-operation business, we’re open for business,’ do so with some prominent republicans as well, and then try to help solve some specific international problems.”

Clinton is making the rounds with the national media in New York today as part of his Global Initiative conference. And since 12 minutes apparently wasn’t enough time, the camera kept rolling and Bartiromo moved on to presidential politics. That portion of the interview can be seen on CNBC’s Closing Bell this afternoon.
