Dow Jones news execs have been giving the Bancroft family advice, going into today’s meeting with Rupert Murdoch, the WSJ reports:
“Some of the advice given to the family went beyond simply protecting the Journal and sought to protect The Wall Street Journal brand by limiting how Mr. Murdoch could use the Journal name, these people said. The Journal already has strict controls over the use of its name with licensees.”
Murdoch has said that he’d like to rename the Fox Business Channel with a name with Journal in it…
