Richard Heene, the father of “balloon boy” Falcon Heene, has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and four years probation for orchestrating the now-infamous hoax in October. The prosecutor said Heene “wasted a lot of manpower and a lot of money in wanting to get himself some publicity,” and the judge agreed. “This was all done for the purpose of making money,” he said.
