As Trump Urges Boycott, Megyn Kelly Sees Ratings Rise Since Debate Clash

Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump may have made nice with the Fox News Channel–his Sunday appearance with Chris Wallace was just the latest in a series of interviews on the network– but Trump has continued to use social media to disparage Fox News star Megyn Kelly.

Trump has not appeared on The Kelly File since the debate, and he has complained about how the show covers his campaign. On Sunday night, Trump urged his supporters to get Kelly’s attention by turning off Fox News between 9 and 10 p.m. ET:

But a review of Nielsen ratings data show Trump’s ongoing “feud” with Kelly (she has repeatedly declined to take the bait, opting not to respond to Trump’s comments) has done nothing to hurt her popularity.

Since the Aug. 6 Fox News Channel debate, The Kelly File is up +9 percent among total viewers and up +6 percent in the key A25-54 demo versus the eight months preceding the debate.

Kelly also took home her first victory over longtime cable news ratings titan Bill O’Reilly, beating The O’Reilly Factor in the third quarter.
