Corey Lewandowski Quits CNN

CNN political commentator Corey Lewandowski, whose hiring prompted criticism both inside and outside the network, resigned Friday afternoon.

CNN reports Lewandowski’s resignation is effective immediately, and is no longer serving as a contributor for the network. Earlier in the day, CNN reports Lewandowski was spotted at Trump Tower, where the president-elect is holding transition meetings.

It’s believed Lewandowski, who served as campaign manager for Donald Trump before he was forced out in June, will join the new administration.
