Investigation Discovery picked up The Real Story with Maria Elena Salinas for a second season, the network announced today.
“Maria Elena’s passionate investigative reporting has been an important addition to ID’s repertoire of original newsmagazines,” said Henry Schleiff, group president of ID, Destination America and American Heroes Channel. The series follows Salinas as she uncovers new evidence, unheard perspectives, and updates to national headline-making crimes to see what the media originally missed. “As Maria Elena looks ahead to the next chapter in her career, we are thrilled that she’ll continue to have a home in primetime on ID,” said Schleiff.
Last week, Salinas announced she would be departing Univision when her contract expires later this year. She has been with the network for 36 years, her entire professional life.
