As of the 2 p.m. ET Saturday update, Hurricane Irma is a strong category 3 storm and has moved slightly west with landfall now on Florida’s Southwest coast, likely between Sarasota and Ft. Myers, tomorrow morning after first crossing over the Florida Keys as a category 4 hurricane.
Irma’s changing path has kept TV newsers on their toes. CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who was in Miami Beach Friday has made his way to Ft. Myers where he is co-anchoring with Chris Cuomo who remains on Florida’s East coast.
Other changes since yesterday’s TV news notes: ABC will air a special edition of 20/20 Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET. George Stephanopoulos and Elizabeth Vargas will anchor from New York with David Muir in Naples.
CBS’s Face the Nation is now only 30 minutes followed by a CBS News Special Report from 11 a.m. ET – Noon. CBS’s morning begins at 6 a.m. ET with CBS This Morning.
