And go. NESN (the New England Sports Network to those of you who didn’t grow up in southeastern Massachusetts) will launch After The Game on September 3.
The show takes an inside look at the houses, cars, and swimming pools to the regions most famous sports stars. It begins with Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield (in his Florida home) and will also visit the residences of players such as Patrice Bergeron, Matt Light, David Ortiz, Bode Miller, Tom Werner, Kristine Lilly, and Doug Flutie. ATG also plans to highlight the philanthropic efforts of stars because Flutie can only keep so much Cristal in his fridge.
There’s a nepotism angle here as well, since Linda Pizzuti Henry – the wife of Red Sox owner John Henry – is one of the producers. Her previous accomplishments include being one of the 25 most stylish Bostonians (trust us: not difficult) and going to Babson College, MIT, and Suffolk University School of Law. Television, of course, is the next logical step.
