The “Good Morning America” team donned armbands this morning in support of anchor Robin Roberts. Roberts is undergoing treatments for an eventual bone marrow transplant. About her armband Roberts explained, “I have a pick line. And you’re able to draw blood more easily. That’s where drugs are administered. You have to keep it clean and you have to keep it protected.”
So in support, her co-anchors, and just about anyone else on the show this morning, also put one on. Even musical guest Mary J. Blige wore one during her Friday concert series performance. “We’re here supporting you,” said Josh Elliott. The show will also spend time next week telling viewers what they can do to be a bone marrow donor.
