Little Rock-based SSN TV has signed an agreement with Arise TV to carry more than five hours of Arise News daily. SSN TV (formerly Soul of the South Television) is available in 40 million households over-the-air and an additional 7 million cable households.
Arise TV, founded by Nigerian media mogul Nduka Obaigbena, has broadcast hubs in London, New York, Johannesburg and Lagos.
“This deal provides us with a vitally important presence in the U.S. broadcast market, and gives SSN viewers a never before available perspective on the news beyond their own borders,” Obaigbena says.
Beginning October 27th, Arise News programs will air between 6pm-9pmET and again at 1amET and Sundays at NoonET. SSN is in 9 of the top 10 African American markets, including on FiOS in New York and New Jersey and Washington, DC affiliate WMDE.
