While “CBS This Morning” was airing Charlie Rose’s interview with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and “Good Morning America” was prepping for a performance by Lady Gaga, Anthony Weiner was repeatedly dismissing Savannah Guthrie’s questions about his wife on “Today,” blaming the media for “a fascination about making it a soap opera.”
“Savannah, I gotta tell you, we’re going to leave it now,” Weiner said. “We’re going to leave it now. In the interview the other day on ‘Meet the Press,’ you asked me seven questions about Huma. You’ve asked me every question about Huma. She’s my wife, I love her deeply. But I have to tell you something, I’m the candidate tomorrow.” Watch:
