Anthony Scaramucci May Be Joining the Trump Administration Afterall

By Chris Ariens

This morning on Fox & Friends, former Fox News analyst and host of the FBN show Wall Street Week, Anthony Scaramucci said he’s close to getting a job with the Trump White House.

Scaramucci, who was on the Trump transition team, was at first expected to join the administration as liaison to the business commuinity. But in early February, the New York Times reported that ethics challenges delayed the role. Scaramucci was in the process of selling a majority stake in his hedge fund Skybridge Capital to Chinese company HNA Group.

“Administration officials said the White House Counsel’s Office had predicted that it would take up to three months for Mr. Scaramucci to be cleared of potential ethics conflicts,” the Times’ Maggie Haberman reported at the time.

Well this morning Scarmucci said he was at the White House Tuesday meeting with chief of staff Reince Priebus and senior adviser Steve Bannon about a role with the administration. “Fingers crossed, hopefully my deal is going to close shortly,” Scaramucci said on Fox.
