Another “Worst Judge In The USA”

Remember Vermont Judge Edward Cashman (right)? In January, Bill O’Reilly (center) called him perhaps “the worst judge in the USA.”

Cashman has some advice for Ohio Judge John A. Connor (left), who received the same label last week.

“I’d tell Judge Connor, ‘Hang on,'” Cashman tells the Columbus Dispatch. “Face facts: O’Reilly isn’t a journalist; he’s an entertainer.”

“Cashman, like Connor, sentenced a sex offender to a term lambasted by critics as too soft,” the paper says.

But “Cashman survived — and remains in the judiciary: Ultimately, after the sex offender was resentenced and the Vermont Legislature considered an impeachment, the controversy died down.”

Cashman now says it “was probably the most positive and important experience I went through in 25 years on the trial bench.” Here’s why…
