Another CNN original is leaving the network, as the company finalizes an 8% workforce reduction, or about 300 positions. Andy Parsons, currently director of technical projects, has been with the network since before it went on the air in 1980.
Parsons, based in Atlanta, accepted the company’s buyout package. His last day is Dec 19. After Parsons’ departure, there will be four original CNN employees left on staff.
