The queen has returned to her kingdom!
On Wednesday, Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Anna Kooiman was crowned Queen Azalea at North Carolina’s 69th Azalea Festival. The UNC Wilmington and WWAY-TV alum was thrilled to be back in her old stomping grounds and be crowned queen of the festival. “It was surreal when they were doing the coronation ceremony. Then seeing the WWAY crew and the tent with the logo on it, it was warming my heart,” she told the Wilmington, N.C., ABC affiliate. “My heart is so full this week.”
The festival started Wednesday and will continue through Sunday with, among other events, a garden party, parade, street fair and fireworks.
