Ann Scheiner has been elevated to the position of senior vice president, News Advertising Sales, NBCUniversal. NBCU News Group ad sales head Mark Miller made the announcement yesterday afternoon in an internal memo to staff.

“Over the years, Ann has shown herself to be a proven leader, valuable teammate and dedicated sales professional,” said Miller.

Most recently, Scheiner was vp for the NBCU News Group, which includes NBC News, MSNBC and CNBC, leading the group’s relationships with PMX, OMG and Horizon, as well as the Washington D.C. market. Additionally, she was responsible for the sales effort that led to the group’s most well-known brand partnership, the Citi Concert Series on Today.

Scheiner will partner with Tom Stevens (svp of ad sales for the news group), Lou Tosto (svp of ad sales for the digital group) and Miller to continue to oversee the group’s ad sales teams, and she will continue her work with NBC News clients.
