Andrew Lack Steps Down as BBG Director and CEO

By Mark Joyella

Andrew Lack stepped down Wednesday as director and CEO of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, clearing the way for an expected return to NBC–a move which could be announced at any time. In a statement, the BBG said “Andrew Lack was a strong choice to serve as the BBG’s first CEO and Director. He has a passion for our work, appreciation for our history and understanding of the importance of our mission.”

It was a brief tenure at the agency. Lack joined BBG back in September from Bloomberg, where he was chairman of the Bloomberg Media Group.
