Anderson Cooper, Kathy Griffin Back for CNN New Year’s Eve Celebration

By Chris Ariens

Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin will be ringing in 2017 from a familiar place, New York’s Times Square.

This marks the 10th New Year Cooper and Griffin have spent together co-hosting CNN’s special which begins at 8 p.m. ET. In 2014, Griffin said she’d signed a multi-year deal to stay on as co-host, with one goal: “It’s really my job to get him fired, every year,” she said of Cooper. “I’m trying, I’m really trying.”

TVNewser was there for the 2011 and 2012 Times Square celebrations.

Also again this year, Tom Foreman hosts a count down to 2017 special on the highlights and lowlights of 2016. All the Best, All the Worst 2016 premieres December 27 at 9 p.m. and re-airs on New Year’s Eve.
