Anderson Cooper admits to being completely obsessed with the missing Malaysia Airlines story, which has been a ratings bonanza for him and his network.
“I gotta say, I’m totally obsessed with it,” Cooper told Seth Meyers on “Late Night.” “It’s one of those stories you just can’t figure out what has gone on. Every day there’s something new, and takes twists and turns.”
The story has also reunited Cooper with friends he hasn’t spoken to in more than a decade: “People I haven’t heard from in forever, just texting me with links to obscure websites that have things from air traffic control…people are really, really, obsessed with it.”
Cooper also told Meyers how he overcame not being able to break into the news business out of college: he scored fake press passes and traveled abroad to cover wars.
