Al Roker Sets World Record with ‘Rokerthon’

Just after eight a.m., Roker’s “Rokerthon” hit the 34 hour mark with balloons and streamers. His voice raw, his body exhausted, Roker’s off for a long rest. “It was a huge team that did this”, Roker said, somehow able to remember the names of people who made Rokerthon happen. “Actually, I had nothing to do with it,” he joked.

“We had so much weather going on,” Roker said, there was plenty to talk about.

And the effort will pay off for charity. Rokerthon raised nearly $70,000 for the USO.
