Al Jazeera Gets a Seat (Well, Half a Seat) at White House Briefing Room

There are 49 assigned seats in the White House Briefing Room, and it’s tough real estate to dig your way into. The White House Correspondents’ Association has just released its revised seating chart–Associated Press, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN and Reuters hold down the front row–and there are two newcomers: Al Jazeera and BuzzFeed.

The newbies land in the fifth and seventh rows, and they have to share their seats: Al Jazeera shares with the Chicago Sun-Times, and BuzzFeed shares with Scripps.
